Lee Joo-hyeong (22), the LG Twins’ hitting prospect, will challenge second baseman again. Lee Joo-hyung, who joined as an infielder, changed his position to an outfielder, and returned after completing his military service with active duty at the end of February. Lee Joo-hyeong, who was recently called up to the first team, is training to defend second base. Coach Yeom Gyeong-yeop expressed his intention to train Lee Ju-hyung as a second baseman again.

After graduating from Gyeongnam High School, Lee Joo-hyung, who was nominated by LG for the 2nd round (13th overall) in 2020, showed his talent in karateju during high school. After his first season as a second baseman in the Futures League, Lee Joo-hyung switched positions to an outfielder. Lee Joo-hyung said, “I thought about it because I wanted to rise quickly in the first team, but I thought that if I played an outfielder, he would be competitive. He said, “At the time, he was an infield backup, but he had seniors, so he changed to an outfielder.”

Lee Joo-hyung, who returned after being discharged from the military in February, has played as an outfielder (center fielder, right fielder) in the Futures League. When Geopo prospect Lee Jae-won left due to a hamstring injury, Lee Joo-hyung was called up to the first team on May 25th.

Prior to the game on the 4th, coach Yeom Gyeong-yeop revealed Lee Joo-hyung’s plan to convert second baseman. Manager Yeom said, “I have never seen Lee Ju-hyeong defend second base before. Before training, I had defensive coach Kim Il-kyung practice defending second base one-on-one. I tried it for 3-4 days, but when I saw it, it seemed possible enough.” said.

“I only played as an outfielder in the 2nd team this year. In the future, I will also play second base as well as an outfielder. They say there was an Ips (from second base songguk), but I can fix it enough. In my eyes, I saw enough potential. I saw glove handling and movement. Looking at it, if you let him die during this year’s finish camp and next year’s spring camp, he will be competitive as a second baseman.”

I plan to train Lee Joo-hyung to second base again for the near future, not as a second baseman right now. Director Yeom said, “It would be nice if (Seo) Geonchang did well, but we have to think about it even if Geonchang didn’t do well. I plan to try it once by attaching it together. It will be very difficult from the finishing training, “he foreshadowed hell training at the finishing camp. LG, who is worried about the second baseman, plans to make various options.

Lee Joo-hyung has batting talent. In his first year of debut in 2020, he appeared in 26 Futures League games and had a batting average of 3.5 6 Lee (31-for-87), 4 home runs, 22 RBIs, an on-base percentage of .478, a slugging percentage of .621, and an OPS of 1.099.먹튀검증
